Miami Honeymoon

Accomodations

We stayed at the beautiful Palms Hotel & Spa on Miami Beach. This was our second visit to Miami, but our very first time staying at this hotel and I must say, it definitely gives you all the vibes of being out of the country on a resort. The lobby and rooms were so beautiful and the entire hotel smelled amazing! The rooms were very clean and spacious, our only complaint would be the small and I mean VERY small bathrooms. The hotel itself has its own pool and bar area, restaurant, lounge, tropical terrace, spa, private beach access, and so much more.

Essensia is one of the restaurants on premise. It's more of an "upscale" style restaurant that is absolutely beautiful and super romantic at night. The Tiki Hut is a poolside bar and grill that serves everything from burgers and fries to chicken wings. Both restaurants were good, but if I had to pick my favorite of the two, I'd say the Tiki Hut.

Here are a few pics from our stay at the gorgeous Palms Hotel & Spa.

Beach Day and Little Havana

We decided to wake up super early the next morning and Uber to Little Havana.

Little Havana is a little neighborhood in Miami full of Cuban and Latin American culture. It was about a 20 minute Uber ride from our hotel. While there, my husband stopped at the cutest little cigar store called Cuban Crafters — he’s a cigar lover. The employees were so nice and extremely helpful.

After securing the cigars, we continued our walk through Little Havana and came across a restaurant called  Don Camaron. The food was really good! I ordered a chicken dish with a side of plantains and yellow rice. My husband ordered some sort of Peruvian beef stir fry with white rice, a layer of french fries, beef, and some sort of sweet teriyaki sauce — it was surprisingly delicious!

After eating, we took an Uber back to the hotel and decided to spend the rest of the day at the pool and beach. Here are a few pics from the day!

The remaining days were spent off camera, laying out by the pool and beach, exploring more of Miami and enjoying our time together as newly weds. I think it’d be fair to say that Miami will always hold a special place in our hearts…

Until next time,
