The Road Less Traveled

The Road Less Traveled...

It's so easy to live for the things of this world. So easy to fall into temptation. So easy to chase after the very thing(s), that God warns us about. So easy to give in to our fleshly desires. I know, I've been there… struggling to fight against the desires of my flesh. However, I also know that as long as we are here on this earth, we will always be faced with the challenge of choosing our flesh over what is good and righteous. My dear friends, that is exactly why we must choose to live in the spirit, pick up our cross, take the road less traveled and follow after God.

I’ve made many mistakes in my 26 years of life; however, I know that we have a way out of our mess, and we must remember that we have a choice. No matter how bad we’ve messed up. We can continue to sit in our pain, shame, disappointments and discomfort, repeating the same mistakes, cycles and patterns, or we can choose change. We can choose growth. We can choose life. A life honoring God... intentionally living with purpose, for His purpose.

God has called each of us to be greater. He wants more for us, and it's only when we are obedient to Him and aligned with His will that we can truly obtain the wonderful blessings that he wants to give each of us.

Romans 8:12-13
"Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live."

God will always require us to take the road less traveled. He'll call us to places where we may feel under-qualified or unworthy. He'll sometimes ask us to do things that won't always make sense to us or to others, but it is through our obedience that we are able to take part in, bare witness to, or obtain glorious blessings and true fulfillment in this world.

My dear friends, a life after God is typically one that will absolutely require us to take the road less traveled, or should I say, ROADS less traveled, but I can assure you, it'll always be well worth it. So, I come to you today to share the good news...

No matter how far you are away from God, no matter your past mistakes, no matter your shortcomings, God is for YOU and He wants you to live a life free from the bondage and the baggage of this wicked world. There's so much freedom in living for God.

He's waiting for you... answer the call, pick up your cross, and take the road less traveled. He has so many beautiful blessings in store for you!

Ephesians 4:22-24
"You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."

I love you all.

Until next time,
